the brief

We had the great pleasure of being invited along to Pittodrie Stadium to film an 'access all areas' video capturing the match day for Andy Considine’s Testimonial. Andy Considine is a local lad come good for Aberdeen. Originally from Banchory, he has notched up almost 300 appearances for his club and to reward this, the Dons set up a testimonial match against FC Twente from the Netherlands.

The video was made to let fans have behind the scenes access on what happens on such a special day for both Considine and his club. AVC were to provide footage from the board room to the changing room, and from the hospitality suites to the pitch. We also provided footage of the match, capturing the drama and excitement of the game itself.

Furthermore we were asked to create a compilation celebrating Considine’s 10 years at Pittodrie to be shown at the dinner event. This compilation featured many co-players and coaches who have worked with Considine over the past decade, as they provided insight into the man himself. The compilation was shown at the testimonial dinner, which was also filmed by us. We will also film the golf day which is the final part of the testimonial.

our solution

Our videographer filmed the majority of the event using a Canon C300, a ground-breaking professional cine camera which gave unprecedented freedom to tell the story. To get closer to the action the film crew used GoPro’s to capture the event through the eyes of those involved and also time lapse cameras to encapsulate the full day into a few seconds of film. The footage was edited and graded in-house giving the final product a stylised and engaging feel. The combination of our creativity and project management resulted in the video being delivered on time and on budget.
